The Body Shop has to be my absolute favourite beauty product brand. Whilst creating an excellent range of products, they aim to ‘enrich products, people and the planet’. They set up multiple campaigns to voice the opinions of customers with the largest being ‘Forever Against Animal Testing’ (hence the guinea pig). I love all of products I have tried from The Body Shop however the two pictured are my definite must-haves (they are vegan too).
Aloe Calming Foaming Wash
My skin has always been sensitive and prone to blemishes. However, after using this product for a week or so I noticed a big difference in how clear and bright my skin looked. After washing my skin feels great, not tight or dry as previous face washes have made my skin feel. It is very gentle yet cleanses exceptionally well. One bottle has lasted me between 1-2 months, using one pump per wash. It is an added bonus that it smells nice too. It costs £8.50 per bottle and for the results it has shown I would be willing to pay much more.
Aloe Soothing Day Cream
This is an excellent moisturiser, especially for people with sensitive skin (me). It calms any redness and eliminates any dry skin patches. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling oily and soaks in nicely. I have found with other moisturisers (not from The Body Shop) that my skin would sting or become irritated after use. However, with this day cream I have never experienced any discomfort at all. It is more expensive than the face wash costing £14 per pot. Although it has lasted me approximately 3-4 months, applying the cream once a day.
I use both of these products together and since doing so I am much happier with how my skin looks and feels. The Body Shop have a whole range of ‘Aloe’ face and body products which I would love to try out in the future. Below is a link to the campaigns part of The Body Shop’s website, if you are interested. Have a read of the ‘about page’ as well and definitely consider purchasing an ‘Aloe’ product.
